WINGS (Women In Godâs Service) is affiliated with LWML (Lutheran Women in Mission), which was formed in 1942 and is the official Womenâs auxiliary of our synod (LC-MS).  "The purpose of the LWML SWD (South Wis. District) is to assist each woman in the congregations of our district in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her Spirit-endowed gifts in reaching out with Christâs love to all the people of her church, neighborhood, and the world.â  We emphasize Mission education, Mission inspiration, Mission service and Mission support.  Mission support comes from the mites that are donated to fund grants at the district and national levels.
WINGS has no membership list.  Any woman, high school on up may participate in any of our activities.  As our name indicates, WINGS encourages women to use their abilities to serve others

Quilters meet on alternating Wednesdays to make quilts and share in fellowship. They work on quilts and other needed items. Â The finished quilts are donated Orphan Grain Train. The quilts are blessed and shipped through the organization.
